This will be the first tour for biffy clyro after the release of their hugely anticipated new album, due in October 2009. The album, the band's fifth and second with 14th Floor Records, is being recorded in LA, once again with Puzzle's producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers), and mixed by Andy Wallace (Coldplay, Nirvana, Faith No More) and is set to be one of the most vital and monumental records of 2009. The first single from the album, ‘That Golden Rule', a distinctively heavy and angular rock race of a song, will be released on 20 August 2009.
biffy clyro have experienced an incredible couple of years since the release of the lauded Puzzle in June 2007, which has seen them become one of the most celebrated live bands in the country. Not only have they toured across the world in America, Japan, Australia, Europe etc., but also played two sold-out headline tours of the UK and clocked up high-profile support slots with the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Queens of The Stone Age, Linkin Park and a colossal Wembley Stadium show with Muse. The tour marks the start of what is set to be the next phenomenal stage for biffy clyro.
Scotland's Biffy Clyro are a punk band similar in style to acts like Weezer, (who they have toured in support of).
Formed in Kilmarnock in the late 1990s, their debut EP thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow was picked up by Scottish radio and brought the band to national attention.
Debut album Blackened Sky soon followed, and the band achieved recognition for their strong live performance, demonstrated at various festival dates and supporting Limp Bizkit at their huge Finsbury Park gig.
Recent album Infinity Land has been received very well and the band look set to remain one of "Britrock"'s most important groups.

In-depth Biography
Assembling in the late '90s, in the town of Kilmarnock, near Glasgow, in Scotland, Biffy Clyro comprises a three-piece lineup, fronted by vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil along with James Johnston (bass) and drummer Ben Johnston. Playing loud combinations of pop/rock, inspired by the music of bands like Weezer, Biffy Clyro first started by playing their aggressive pop tunes in the nearby Glasgow club scene, eventually enjoying a stable and enthusiastic response from their audiences. After releasing their first EP, Thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow, via the Electric Honey record label, the band managed to secure some airplay on Scotland's BBC, which opened the way for even more notability within the Scottish music scene. Not long after, the trio signed a recording contract with Beggars Banquet and offered their first single, "27," in October 2000. During the following months, the group played numerous live shows, including one opening slot for their longtime idols Weezer. In February 2002, the crew offered yet another single, simply titled "57," before the release of their long-awaited debut full-length, Blackened Sky, issued in March of that same year. A year later the more elaborate The Vertigo of Bliss appeared. Constant touring to support the album kept the band busy until mid-2004 when they recorded Infinity Land, which was released late in the year. Three years later the successful single "Saturday Superhouse" announced the coming of their fourth album, Puzzle. ~ Mario Mesquita Borges, Rovi
