Emmy award-winning soprano Catherine Malfitano returns to ENO following her unforgettable 2006 debut, to direct this new production of Puccini's tragedy. Celebrated as one of the foremost Toscas, and dramatic sopranos, of recent decades, she now brings her formidable experience to this hugely anticipated new rendering.
ENO's Olivier Award-winning Music Director, Edward Gardner conducts a superb cast, featuring Amanda Echalaz in the title role. She returns after her triumphant ENO debut as Liù in Turandot and is already heralded as ‘the leading Tosca of a generation' (The independent on Sunday).

The Mikhailovsky Opera of St Petersburg performs this traditional epic as the composer intended, with spectacular traditional sets and world class performances in Italian with English surtitles.
Joining them in the starring role is internationally renowned Irish soprano Celine Byrne* accompanied by The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra in a truly joint Irish / Russian collaboration.
