About American Superslam Wrestling

The Gladiators are back on SkyTV, but not content with supercharged on-screen combat, two of them have launched a bid for wrestling glory and will be seen in local action as they pursue an open challenge to all-comers from home and abroad.

Welshman Goliath and the tattooed Warrior, originally from Samoa, both made their mark in the wrestling arena before being signed up for the recently started new Gladiators series and are looking to quickly establish a winning wrestling run.

The Gladiators will contribute to the unequalled atmosphere and excitement of a live wrestling event and fans are in for more thrills and spills in a programme when Birkenhead-headquartered All Star Wrestling, Europe's longest-established promotion, also parade some formidable international stars.

Puerto Rico-based heavyweight ‘Man Mountain' Kong, a bearded 20 stone battler towering 6ft 9in above the canvas, quickly made his mark after starting a first British tour in January and has now been joined by the colourful former WCW and WWE campaigner Big Vito, the New Yorker who claims to be the toughest man ever to wear a dress!

Also on hand is striking masked Metal Master, the globetrotting star with a Japanese style, plus the lighter but equally controversial ‘Brooklyn Brawler' Julio Torres who returned in December from a trip home to New York.

Londoner James Mason leads a squad of determined home contenders and is sure of  wholehearted support from ‘UK Dream Team' partners Kid Cool and Wirral-based 2008 'Wrestler of the Year' title winner ‘Xtreme' Dean Allmark.

Others on view include ‘Liverpool Lad' Frankie Sloan, muscle machine Domino, the much travelled ‘Anarchist' Doug Williams, and the teenage ‘Lightning Kids' twosome of Birkenhead's Adam Davies and Bolton lad Ben Levy.

And making his own special contribution will be midget whirlwind Little Legs, alias Mark Sealey, the new face of soft drink Tango's advertising campaign. Already the 3ft 6in tall Oxford star has cornered Jonathan Ross and left the controversial television and radio presenter well and truly Tangoed!
