About Butterfly Effect

The Butterfly Effect emerged from the Brisbane underground hard rock scene in 2001 with their debut self-titled EP which instantly gained recognition on national youth radio network, Triple J.

Self-financed and released through local independent label Modern Music the EP soon became highly in demand across Australia. In January 2002 the band was invited to perform at the local Big Day Out and to capitalise on the momentum a national tour was booked to supply the growing demand for the band. As a result several tours followed including supports with some of Australia's leading rock acts which in turn, attracted the attention of the larger record companies and publishers within Australia. In May 2002 The Butterfly Effect and Modern Music entered into a Licensing deal with Roadshow Music and began the task of developing the act to the level it has reached today.

The Butterfly Effect is an extremely powerful and dynamic four-piece hard rock band that leaves all that see them stunned and satisfied. Drawing influences from various alternative rock acts from the 80's and 90's The Butterfly Effect has formulated a sound that is musically fresh, energetic and vocally outstanding.

With a successful EP, top 50 album and a tour schedule that only the toughest bands can handle The Butterfly Effect is on its way to becoming one of the great success stories of hard rock bands to come out of Australia.

The Butterfly Effect are:
- Clint Boge: Vocals
- Ben Hall: Drums
- Glenn Esmond: Bass
- Kurt Goedhart: Guitar

The Butterfly Effect's debut album "Begins Here" is scheduled for release in the UK (RSK/BMG), Germany (Sony) and the Benelux region (Suburban) in late August 2004. The band was recently voted second best new band in the world by Metal Hammer in Germany and they have secured features for August in Metal Hammer UK and Germany, Rock Hard Germany and Classic Rock UK.
Their first single "One Second Of Insanity" is fast being picked up by radio and TV in these territories and was included on the covermount CD of the July edition of Rock Sound UK. The band will tour from September across Europe. "Begins Here" has also been released in New Zealand and South Africa.

"The Butterfly Effect's debut album sparkles like a diamond in the coal dust."
- Robyn Doreian, Rolling Stone

After releasing their third studio album 'Final Conversations Of Kings' in 2008, debuting at Number 3 on the national ARIA charts, The Butterfly Effect then toured Australia relentlessly selling out their album tour and found a place in Rolling Stone's Top 50 albums of 2008. They kicked-off 2009 with another sold-out run of shows of the towns that missed out on the album tour, then joined the 2009 Big Day Out. Their first single from the new album 'Window And The Watcher' made it into the Triple J's Hottest 100. After playing in excess of over 1800 shows in Australia, The Butterfly Effect feel it's time the rest of the world got to see what all the fuss is about.
The Butterfly Effect has confirmed live dates for the UK and Europe. The band will head to Europe in late April for a bunch of headlining shows, then head across to the UK before returning to Australia.

The tour will kick-off in Amsterdam then head to Berlin, Hamburg, Bielefeld, Tilburg & Cologne. Then jump across to the UK for a run of headlining club shows.

The band's album 'Final Conversations Of Kings' will be release on iTunes throughout Europe and the UK as well as physically distributed throughout both territories.
This first run of European and UK dates will be the first of three trips this year for The Butterfly Effect. With more tours planned in the European and UK summer, as well and seeing what the colder months are like at the end of the year in the September to November period. The Butterfly Effect is going to do what they know and do best... Tour!
