About Cannizaro Park Festival

The Cannizaro Park Festival is one of London's major summer attractions and the highlight of Wimbledon's open air calendar.

Featuring the very best in Pop, Jazz, Opera, Classical and Comedy, this year's Festival is set to be the best yet!

The James Taylor Quartet bring their unique blend of acid jazz and funk to the festival as they celebrate their 20th anniversary, there's top U2 tribute band U2UK, music from rising star Kocoa Brown and international classical super group Boheme.
If you're looking for a giggle, Jongleurs Comedy Club is back by popular demand and there's hilarious improv comedy with The Comedy Store Players featuring the likes of Josie Lawrence, Paul Merton and Lee Simpson.

Festival revellers can also enjoy a series of Family Days including an Irish Theme Day sponsored by Murphy's, a Classic Bollywood day featuring performances by up-and-coming Bollywood star Chandra Chakraborty and a fun-filled Kid's Day complete with magic tricks, face painting and bouncy castles. Suitable for kids of all ages!

Other highlights include Sirius B, a sizzling jazz show combining Brazilian rhythms and world dance, Madame Butterfly performed by the European Chamber Opera and Last Night of the Proms Spectacular, the explosive festival finale featuring rousing anthems, flag waving and crowd sing-a-longs.

Improvements this year will include covered seating for 600 people, two stages and free of charge early evening entertainment.

Councillor Maurice Groves, cabinet member for Community Services said: "The Cannizaro Park Festival is an extravaganza of world class artists creating a wonderful fusion of music, comedy and dance that will appeal to everyone. The secret to the success of the festival lies in the fantastic partnership work that exists between Merton Council's Leisure Department and the organisers."

The Cannizaro Park Festival runs from Saturday 22 July until Sunday 6 August.null
