Tayside Police advise drivers to use the following routes, all of which will be clearly signed by the AA. Travelling from the North, South or West: Follow signs for Perth and then signs for Dundee, via the A90 Perth to Aberdeen trunk road. From Dundee, please follow the specific 'Open' signs. Travelling from the North East: Follow the A90, Aberdeen to Dundee road, before following signs on the A92 coastal route. Travelling from Fife: After crossing the Tay Road Bridge, please follow the specific 'Open' signs. Drivers who fail to follow these directions or who use alternative routes are liable to encounter delays. Further advice will become available on www.opengolf.com
Weekly Car Parking labels are available at a cost of Â£40.00. Weekly labels are only available in advance from The R&A and are subject to availability. Daily car parking, payable on arrival only, will cost Â£5.00 per day Sunday 15 to Tuesday 17 July and Â£10.00 per day Wednesday 18 to Sunday 22 July. Operating times of the Park and Ride service will be displayed on www.opengolf.com Daily coach parking, payable on arrival only, will cost Â£30.00 per day.
Park & Ride: Park and Ride facilities will be clearly signed and will be operating a short distance from the course. There are no public car parks adjacent to the course and those arriving by car without a reserved car park label should use the Park and Ride facilities. Travel by Rail: Carnoustie Station is situated approximately 800 yards from the course. First Scotrail will provide additional services during the Championship. Travel by Air: Carnoustie is served by Dundee Airport (approximately 12 miles), Edinburgh Airport (70 miles) and Glasgow Airport (100 miles). The R&A will appoint an Official Helipad Operator. Box Office Collection Accepted
The Ticket Collection portacabin will be located near to the Carnoustie Leisure Centre beside the tennis courts which is en route from the Railway Station to the Tented Village and main entrance to the course.
Viewing facilities have been set aside at a number of greens for those in wheelchairs. Disabled toilets with ramps are located as near as possible to these areas. Car Parking closer to the course than public areas is also available. For car parking and further information please contact The R&A Ticket Office on 01334 460000.
No cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices on Championship Days. No glass bottles. No illegal substances. No mobile phones. No pets, no step ladders or similar Smoking is allowed in the venue (in certain areas) but not on Grandstands
Juveniles under the age of 16 (on 15 July 2007) will be admitted free of charge on the day if they are accompanied by a responsible adult. Otherwise, they can apply in writing (up until 5 July) to: Ticket Office, The R&A, St Andrews, Fife, KY16 9JD with some form of identification to obtain free tickets for juveniles in advance.
