About Cheerio's Childline Concert

B*witched & Boyzone are set to join The Wanted, Shane Filan, Conor Maynard, Little Mix, Union J & host Nicky Byrne for The Cheerios Childline Concert at The O2 next Wednesday, November 20th celebrating 25 years of Childline.

Edele says, “It’s an honour to be invited to play the 25 year Anniversary show, It’s been 13 years since we hit the Childline stage. Congratulations to all involved who have made this charity a great success, the support they give children is invaluable. Happy Anniversary Childline!”

Boyzone "We can't wait to open the show at Childline later this month. It's an event that has a special place in Boyzone's heart. To be back on our home turf as we celebrate our 20th anniversary means so much to us all".

Childline, Ireland’s No. 1 children’s charity, hope to receive over €400,000 from this year’s concert. To date, Childline has benefitted to the tune of €4.6 million from the previous concerts, which have been held annually since 1997. Over the years acts such as Robbie Williams, Westlife, The Script, Boyzone, JLS, Alexandra Burke, Girls Aloud, Taio Cruz, Cascada, Enrique Iglesias, All Saints, Ronan Keating, Brian McFadden, S Club7, Blue, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Five, Sugababes, Busted, McFly, The Saturdays, Little Mix, Stooshe, Olly Murs, Jason Derulo and many more have all taken part.
Childline continues to experience record levels of demand for it’s services. Over 800,000 calls will be received in 2013 and almost half of those calls will go unanswered due to lack of resources.
All parties involved with the Cheerios Childline Concert are providing their services free of charge on the night including artists, organisers and The O2. The complete funding of the concert goes towards the financial support and aid of the 24 hour phone-line, dedicated to helping children. Childline can be contacted by calling the freephone number 1800 66 66 66, logging onto or text 'talk' to 50101.

Alison Healy of Cheerios stated "we are delighted to once again be sponsoring the Cheerios Childline Concert and are very much looking forward to another great night in The O2. Look out for our special 'Cheer for Childline" packs  of Cheerios where you can send "cheer" to your favourite act and help raise even more money for this great cause".
