About Dock Rock

The British International Motor Show, in partnership with Lloyds TSB Insurance, has announced the first seven acts for its 10-day music festival, Dock Rock, to run throughout the show when it returns to London this July.

Each evening at The British International Motor Show at ExCeL London in London's Docklands, world-class artists will take to the open-air stage on the water's edge to Rock the Dock with a series of must-see concerts with an intimate atmosphere. The first artists confirmed are:

Wednesday 19 July - A-HA
Thursday 20 July - Van Morrison
Friday 21 July - UB40
Saturday 22 July - Roxy Music
Monday 24 July - Simple Minds
Wednesday 26 July - Katherine Jenkins with The National Symphony Orchestra
Thursday 27 July - Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra

By day, a purpose-built arena will host a Motor Theatre entertaining the crowds with performances including breath-taking stunts and tricks where the cars are the stars.  By night, the area will transform into a music festival venue hosting a different artist every evening of the show.

Set against the spectacular waterside location, each concert will have a capacity of just 6,500 making it one of London's most intimate outdoor music venues. Fans wanting to get up-close and personal with their favourite artists can opt for a standing ticket for the arena, directly in front of the stage. Additionally, specially-built covered tiered seating tickets will be available.

Every Dock Rock ticket holder will also get free entry to The British International Motor Show between 16:00 and 21:00, with the exception of the A-HA concert, which will be the spectacular climax of a Prince's Trust Gala Preview night on Wednesday 19 July.
