Katya Kabnovadon Giovanni Janáček Mozart

ENO's much-anticipated new production of Mozart's most powerful opera, Don Giovanni, is directed by the multi award-winning, Rufus Norris (Cabaret, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Festen). He is joined by equally acclaimed set designer Ian MacNeil (Olivier Award - ENO's Ariodante, Tony Award - Billy Elliot), in bringing to life this dramatic new staging of Mozart's classic, chronicling the tempestuous adventures of the legendary sexaholic, and his ultimate, unrepentant descent into hell.

A world-class cast includes Iain Paterson - as the libidinous Don, who returns to the Coliseum after his critically acclaimed portrayal of the devilish Mephistopheles in Faust, and Katherine Broderick as the vengeance-filled Donna Anna, alongside Rebecca Evans, Brindley Sherratt, Rober Murray, Sarah Tynan, Matthew Best and John Molloy.

Making his London operatic debut is outstanding young Ukranian conductor Kirill Karabits.

"Iain Paterson grows in stature by the minute... The technical ease and stylistic authority of his singing, as well as his imposing stage presence, suggest that international stardom is on the cards." - Daily Telegraph on Ian Paterson as Mephistopheles in ENO's Faust

‘There is a natural clarity about the conducting style of Kirill Karabits that is most persuasive'. - The Guardian
