About
Forbidden Fruit 2024
Forbidden Fruit returns to the grounds of Royal Hospital Kilmainham on the June Bank Holiday Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 June 2024.
This year’s lineup is scorching hot, featuring the long-awaited return of Nelly Furtado, gracing Irish shores after 23 years, alongside the powerhouse duo BICEP, on the back of their sold-out show at the 3Arena last year. From nostalgic throwbacks to cutting-edge beats, prepare for a weekend overflowing with the freshest sounds.
Expanding their already stellar lineup, we're thrilled to introduce some exciting new additions to this year's Forbidden Fruit festival.
Kicking things off, Californian hip-hop duo, Paris Texas, ready to bring their unique flavour to the stage. Following them, Grammy winner Flowdan, who made history as the first UK MC to clinch a Grammy for his groundbreaking collaboration 'Rumble' with Fred Again and Skrillex. Flowdan will be joined by his partner in grime, Neffa-T, a wizard on the decks, promising an unmissable set.
Making their Irish debut, prepare to be mesmerized by sibling band and music collective, Infinity Song, hailing from New York City. Their soft rock sound, characterised by tight vocal harmonies, dreamy lyricism, and sublime guitar riffs, is epitomised in their hit Hater's Anthem.
From Manchester, welcome Interplanetary Criminal, a pioneering DJ and producer whose infectious track 'B.O.T.A.' with Eliza Rose soared to Number 1. Don't let the name fool you; DJ BORING's sets are anything but mundane. With vibrant energy and undeniable passion, Tristan Hallis delivers every time. His recent collaboration with Confidence Man is a testament to his prowess in producing high-quality music.
Chosen each year by a panel of experts, the RTE 2FM Rising class of 2024 are Big Sleep, Brad Heidi, Chubby Cat, Jordan Adetunji, Qbanaa, Saibh Skelly, Shee, Sick Love, Strabe and The Cope.
2FM Rising is an initiative from 2FM that chooses 10 Irish artists each year that we feel are extremely exciting and are representing Irish music in a compelling way. The initiative endeavours to support and promote the chosen artists on their journey. 2FM Rising is 10 acts that any music fan really needs to know!
