Forbidden Fruit 2025
Forbidden Fruit returns to the grounds of Royal Hospital Kilmainham on the June Bank Holiday Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June 2025. From debut Irish performances to iconic returns, the 13th edition cements its status as Dublin's city-centre festival of choice.
A full-circle moment as Jamie xx, a cornerstone of modern electronic music, returns to headline his only Irish show of the year. From debuting at Forbidden Fruit in 2011 to his triumphant return in 2015, following his critically acclaimed album In Colour, Jamie’s chart-topping productions have earned Grammy and BRIT nominations. Known for his Mercury Prize-winning work with The xx and collaborations with Adele, Drake, and Florence + the Machine, Jamie’s live performances continue to push boundaries. Last year he released In Waves, his first album in nine years, featuring collaborations with Romy, Robyn, and The Avalanches; you don’t want to miss his only Dublin performance this year.
Electronic music icons Underworld make their long-awaited return to Dublin, armed with their latest album Strawberry Hotel and fresh collaborations, including a powerhouse partnership with Irish electronic producer KETTAMA. With 30+ years of dancefloor anthems like Rez, Techno Shinkansen, and the legendary 90s hit Born Slippy, their set promises an unforgettable journey through dance music history.
Canadian Dan Snaith, aka Caribou, is set to deliver a show-stopping live performance at Forbidden Fruit. Renowned for his innovative sound, Caribou has become one of the most iconic names in electronic music. With his new album Honey - a fusion of Detroit techno, disco vibes, and cutting-edge AI vocals, anticipation for his immersive shows has never been higher. Caribou’s performances are a sonic and visual delight, featuring live musicians and stunning video projections. Don’t miss this master at work!
Peggy Gou, who made her Irish debut at Forbidden Fruit, now takes to the main stage for the first time. From underground sensation to global icon, her DJ sets are as stylish and captivating as her cultural impact. Gou has become one of the world’s most recognised names in dance music and beyond. Her connection to this festival runs deep, and her set promises to be a highlight of the weekend.
Mall Grab: The Aussie maestro brings his signature high-energy sound for his only Irish festival appearance this year. A true heavyweight in the underground scene, Mall Grab never fails to deliver.
Glass Beams: Australia’s enigmatic psych-jazz outfit play their second-ever Irish show, following a rapturous debut at All Together Now in 2024. Expect cosmic grooves and mind-expanding soundscapes!
New York-based FCUKERS are making their Irish debut, ready to impress audiences with their legendary, unpredictable sets. Joining them on the line-up is German duo BUNT, bringing their effervescent mix of folk-house to Irish festival stages for the first time. Also featured is nimino, a streaming titan and Irish chart favourite known for his lush electronic soundscapes that have cemented him as one of the genre’s most exciting new voices.
