About
The Warehouse Project are proud to present a unique homecoming show by music legend Ian Brown on Friday, 11 June 2010 as part of the 100th anniversary of Platt Fields Park. The former Stone Roses front man and all round music icon is set to perform in front of 15,000 adoring home fans at a special outdoor event marking the start of summer 2010.
Since the break up of the Stone Roses in 1996, Ian Brown has released no less than six, critically-acclaimed solo albums and enjoyed 14 UK top 40 singles. He has sold out six UK tours, and appeared three times at Glastonbury. Since 1998, he has appeared five times at V festival, more than any other artist. Ian Brown has also regularly appeared at T in The Park and Oxygen festivals and in 2006 Brown was honoured as NME magazine's God Like Genius at their annual awards bash.
The Warehouse Project have been trying to hook up an Ian Brown show since we started in 2006, so are delighted this is finally happening, and is a great pre-cursor to the 2010 series where we celebrate 5 Years of The Warehouse Project.
