Formerly known as Electric Light Orchestra, Jeff Lynne’s ELO was formed in Birmingham in 1970 by songwriters Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood, alongside drummer Bev Bevan.
During their initial tenure, the group enjoyed huge success selling over 50 million albums across the world and releasing the hit songs Last Train To London, Hold On Tight, Wild West Hero and Livin’ Thing, before disbanding in 1986.
Revived for a charity concert in 2013, Jeff Lynne brought the project back to life under the moniker of Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s in 2014.The result was the 2015 LP Alone In The Universe, the band’s first new material in 15 years, and was followed by a sold-out arena in 2016.
In November 2019, Jeff Lynne’s ELO’s released the From Out Of Nowhere album featuring the singles From Out Of Nowhere and Time Of Our Life.
