In the Eurovision Song Contest of 1980, Johnny Logan proudly represented Ireland with the song "What's Another Year," surpassing the runner-up, Germany, by a margin of 15 points.

Fast forward to the 50th-anniversary concert in Copenhagen, Denmark, in October 2005, where Logan's "Hold Me Now" earned the esteemed title of the 3rd most popular song in Eurovision history.
