About
Meghan Trainor has announced details of her first ever UK headline tour, set to take place in April. Kicking off at Manchester’s Ritz on 9 April, the four-date stint will also visit Glasgow and Birmingham before finishing off at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 13 April.
The announcement follows yesterday’s release of Trainor’s latest single Lips Are Movin, the second single to be taken from her upcoming debut album Title – due for release 26 January – and the follow up to her international No. smash hit single All About That Bass, which she performed on The X Factor last month.
Another serving of seductive doo-wop pop, Lips Are Movin has again cemented Meghan Trainor as one of the most exciting new pop stars on the planet. The single has taken her internet dominance even further with another helping of viral video gold that has clocked up over 92 million views on YouTube.
Having topped the charts in 58 countries, and turning multiplatinum in territories across the globe, the unstoppable success of Meghan Trainor and All About That Bass has led the track to Grammy nomination for the Song Of The Year Award in 2015.
Trainor’s complete takeover of 2014 could hardly go unnoticed as she put her record-breaking stamp down as the new face of pop. She claimed her Title among the stars, and is set to shine bright throughout the year with one of the most highly anticipated debut albums and tours of 2015.
