Car parking is not available at the venue and use of public transport is strongly advised. The nearest car park is the NJA car park on Brompton Road. There is limited metered parking available.

Box Office Hours

Ticketmaster credit card booking line is open 24hrs. Skating sessions from 09:00 - 22:00 (please check individual dates). The box office opens approximately 20 mins before the start of the first session and closes 10 mins after the start of the last session.

Accessible Seating

Wheelchair acessible sessions are scheduled for the following dates: Friday 27 December 10.00 Sunday 5 January 10.00 Wheelchair users pay standard adult or child prices, up to two additional people may skate free of charge to offer assistance. General Rules

The rink operates in most weather conditions. Please bring suitable outdoor clothes as you may get wet. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to bad weather. In the unlikely event that the Ice Rink has to close, alternative skating sessions will be offered, subject to availability.


Skate sizes range from children’s child size 7/Euro 24 to adult 15/Euro 50. For smaller toddler's sizes, 'clip on' skates are available that fit over a standard training shoe. • Skaters should arrive 40 minutes before their booked session to allow for skate fitting. Sessions are 50 minutes long. • Skate hire is free of charge – sizes range from child size 7 (Euro 25) to adult 15; • No bags (except rucksacks) are allowed on the ice rink; • A cloakroom facility is available in the skate change area priced £2 per item, free for school groups; • We regret that school groups may not eat packed lunches in the Café Bar; • Entrance to the skate change area is for ticket holders only; • Entrance to the Café Bar is free and does not require an ice skating ticket; • There will be a tasty range of hot food sold outside in the Museum Gardens in addition to the hot and cold food and drinks available in the Café Bar; • For corporate bookings please contact • Ice skating lessons are available and may be booked online at • A limited number of penguin skate aids are available and are hired on a first come first served basis. The cost is £5 per penguin per session; • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult on the ice; • Skaters may use their own skates but organisers reserve the right not to allow a person to use their own skates if they decide that they are not suitable. There is no discount to the ticket price for use of your own skates; • The rink can operate in nearly all weather conditions. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing; remember, ice is made from water, and you may get wet. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event that the Duty Manager deems it necessary to close the ice rink, alternative sessions will be offered for skating, subject to availability; • Lost property will be held at the ice rink, please contact should you wish to enquire about lost proprty • A Victorian carousel is open for the duration of the ice rink (height restrictions apply). Customers may purchase carousel tokens at the ice rink itself or online via Ticketmaster.
