About
Paul Potts was the first winner of Britain’s Got Talent back in 2007. Since winning the competition, Paul has found worldwide success with his albums, live shows, tours and charity work and has been constantly travelling the globe; six years later, his feet are yet to touch the ground.
Due to Paul’s commitment and hard work, he has become one of the most travelled international stars and has performed more live shows than any other contestant of this type of programme.
Since winning BGT, Paul has successfully released three studio albums; ‘One Chance’, ‘Passione’ and ‘Cinema Paradiso’ (ex-UK). Recent activity has seen Paul visit territories such as Germany, Austria, Iceland, Poland, Switzerland, Korea, China, Japan and the Middle East; he is still very much in demand around the world!
2012 saw production begin on a biopic celebrating Paul’s rise to fame. The film, named after his first album ‘One Chance’, is being directed by David Frankel (Marley & Me, The Devil Wears Prada). Fresh from celebrating his Tony-award-winning Broadway run in 'One Man, Two Guvnors', BAFTA winning James Corden (The History Boys) stars as Paul and is supported by an acclaimed ensemble cast including Julie Walters (Mamma Mia!, Calendar Girls, Billy Elliot), Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean), Colm Meaney (Get Him To The Greek), Jemima Rooper (Kinky Boots) and rising star Alexandra Roach (The Iron Lady). It is due to be released in 2013.
