Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Polaris has been bringing their metalcore, progressive, and post-rock blend to the world since 2012. Polaris was formed by the member’s mutual love of metal and alternative music. That same year they released their first single “Summit” along with some of the tracks from the Dichotomy EP. The “Unfamiliar” single was released in 2015 and their second EP 'Guilt and Grief' was released independently in 2016.

The band’s 2017 debut album 'The Mortal Coil' was ARIA-nominated and was a Top 10 hit in Australia. When they began working on their second album 'The Death of Me', Polaris knew they needed to create something that trumped the success of 'The Mortal Coil'. 'The Death of Me' album contains some of the bleakest material they have ever created with recurring lyrical motifs floating throughout. The album was written while on the road. Polaris went on to receive their second ARIA nomination in the category of “Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album”, and were announced as the winners of the 2020 Heavy Music Award for Best International Breakthrough Band.

Polaris were touring relentlessly which opened them up to a wider audience all over the world. They embarked on three sold-out headlining tours of Australia. They also supported heavy-weights such as Architects and Parkway Drive and played slots at the prestigious Download Festival and Unify Gathering in Australia.
