Hot-on-the-heels of its smash-hit world premiere run at Sadler's Wells, the feel-good musical Shoes transfers to the Peacock Theatre in the West End for a limited eight week run!
Fresh from the pen of Richard Thomas (co creator of Jerry Springer - The Opera) and the feet of top showbiz choreographer Stephen Mear (Sweet Charity, Mary Poppins), Shoes celebrates out enduring obsession with footwear. Featuring crash-test dummies trying to walk in high heels and nuns singing an ode to their favourite designer brands, Shoes takes you on a hilarious journey from the lows of the croc to the highs of the platform boot.
The 30 toe-tappingly catch musical numbers also include the lyrical hip hop piece Sneaker Addict, and Imelda Argues with the Nation, in which the wife of the Philippines' former president defends her famous collection of 3000 pairs of shoes.
With 12 dancers, 4 singers, a live band, large scale set designs and over 250 pairs of shoes, this is a fabulously original show and a brilliant night at the theatre.
