About Simon Says

Since the first Simon Says, just over six years ago, after we lost the wonderful Simon Goss to lung cancer when he had just turned 44, there seem to be fewer and fewer of us whose lives have not been touched by the devastating impact of cancer, which is why this annual fundraising gathering and  celebration of Simon’s life remains so very important to us.

Poignantly, Simon would have been 50 last December; we miss him every day and it’s hard not to wonder how he would have changed over the months and years, particularly as we note the changes in ourselves and our lives. For sure, he would have remained incredibly proud of his sons, Tom and Joe, who go from strength to strength (as do their beards – just like their dad!) and who will again entertain us as part of this year’s amazing line-up for Simon Says 7! As well as hairier, the Wah Wah 45s Players are a year older, wiser and even more funky! And probably too many of the rest of us are greyer and balder, which means the flat cap is our friend, and what better reason to don one and come out and party?

We thank you so much for your endless support, your love and every penny you have raised, and look forward to seeing you on 16th June, when we will do it all over again!
