Grammy Award-winning country star Miranda Lambert is back on tour in the UK next year.

Inspired by such singer-songwriters as Emmylou Harris, Lambert began writing her own songs after learning how to play the guitar from her father. She started her own band called Texas Pride at the age of 17 and graduated early from school to pursue her dream.

The effort paid off. In 2005, her debut album Kerosene went platinum.
