About
Yungblud comes to Dublin
For 24-year-old singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist YUNGBLUD (Dominic Harrison), there was not a time he could remember without music. Born in Yorkshire, he first picked up a guitar at the age of two in his father’s instrument shop, where he was surrounded by sound. By 10 years old, Harrison started to pen his own songs and poems: outlets for the anger, frustration - but also the dreams, and undeniable ambition - that would go on to define his adolescence.
The world would be introduced to YUNGBLUD in 2018 with his self-titled EP. Here was a voice that was unafraid to elevate the experiences of his generation: gentrification, assault, troubled upbringings and political corruption. With the release of his full-length debut album 21st Century Liability in July 2018, Harrison’s words resonated with millions, earning him meteoric success. In 2019, his ‘hope for the underrated youth’ EP debuted in the Top 10 for the UK Official Albums Chart.
2020 was the year YUNGBLUD released his UK Number One album weird! which has since been certified Gold, exceeding his potential when he was crowned by MTV Push: Ones to Watch in 2020 and was shortlisted for the BBC Sound of 2020 poll. He has since performed to sold-out crowds in over 20 countries, from London’s Alexandra palace to The Shrine in Los Angeles. YUNGBLUD recently concluded hisLife on Mars tour, which has seen him perform across the UK, Europe, America and Australia. He will continue bringing his energetic live show to festivals in Japan, Europe, USA and Mexico this summer.
